Friday Flips

Ew, it's Friday the 13th, but I say eff that!  I have had several Friday the 13th birthdays.  Turns out it isn't that bad of a day after all. 

It is Friday and Friday's around here means getting crap off my chest that got me going during the week.  Thanks to Gigi at KludyMom for giving us an outlet! 

To recurring summer colds you suck!  Thankfully the boys showed no symptoms of being sick over our vacation but the day after they are done with their antibiotics they start sneezing crap up again.  LOVELY! 

To my flippin dog that left a deep scratch down my entire forearm on the underneath side.  I really hate you sometimes and I don't say hate often!  That hurts like a mother and I can't not touch it.  Just as I type it hurts!!! 

To my internet at home.  I don't know what is up with you but I haven't been able to connect for 3 days now.  I have comments on my post on Facebook that I can't see anywhere else because my phone is ancient (not really, but it's not a cool iphone) and Facebook is blocked at work.  If you left a message there, I'm not ignoring you.  It is killing me not to be able to read them!

To whatever kept me up last night.  What the heck is up with that.  I fall asleep as my head is going to the pillow and last night it takes me like an hour to get to sleep.  I was not happy and knew 5am was coming too quickly! 

I had a really crappy mood last night and my husband paid for it.  Flip off to me!  I guess I need to make up for that! 

And to the stupid kid that called our house after 11pm last night and to her mom!  I called them back (thank you caller id) and got her mom.  She said something about the kid meant to call a different number.  Then tell your freaking kid not to make some stupid noise and hang up.  And freakin apologize for it you .....!

I think that is enough, but boy do I feel better.  I am so ready for the weekend!  Part of me loves the weeks going by so fast part of me hates it.  My boys are growing up in that time and I want more time to enjoy that process!  I bought them bunk beds last night!  They are beyond thrilled.  So, this weekend we will set them up and move them in together.  It might be a rough few nights with little sleep as I'm sure Waylon will take advantage of his new found freedom!  We have to start somewhere though! 

And football tomorrow night.  I'm ready for football games.  Dale has been in football the last few weeks and tomorrow night they have their charity game.  Woo hoo!  I'm ready for the season to start and so is Wyatt, which means Waylon is as well!

It's Friday. Horrible mood. Tired.  Early.  No sausage biscuit.  No frappe.  No hand waving in traffic. UGH!  That's my mood and here are my flips.

On with the show.

To summer colds.  Really?!  Why does this even happen.  You guys suck.  We'll be taking Wyatt to the dr today and I'm sure I will be taking Waylon to the dr next.  His eyes are already getting gooey.  MMMM. 

To my sense of smell.  I can't get anything new, not even deodorant.  Things that smell so good to me in the store make me want to hurl during the day.  Thanks for that!  And if anyone has the slightest stench of body order you can guess who will be smelling it out! 

To not having a personal maid who will clean my house every day and to the budget that won't allow it.  It would really make my life a lot easier and a lot more enjoyable!

To the lady that pulled her piece of crap car out of her parking spot at 100mph not looking or caring who was behind or around her.  She could of really hurt someone, not to mention my son.  Wyatt asked just seconds before this if he could run ahead of me to the car.  Usually I say yes, because it is no big deal and he stays to the side out of the way, but for some reason I said no this time and I'm so happy I did.  Thanks for that guardian angel!  I feel I handled the situation quite well.  Her with her nasty car and cigarette had her windows down so I used that time to tell Wyatt loudly why I didn't think running ahead was a good idea.  "See just like that, bud.  That lady didn't even look when she pulled out of her spot too fast and she could of ran right over you.  She wouldn't have even seen you."  She heard me and she got my look as I got hers.  She squealed her car out of the parking lot apparently not caring at all that she was going way too fast through cross walks.  What a piece of work!  I'm not kidding if we would have been 3 steps ahead she would have run us over.

To the images that went through my mind thinking about what could of happened and how I would have beat the living crap out of her if she would of hurt my kid.  They weren't very nice. 

And this post has been nothing like me and this mood and this funk need to take a hike because this is my last day of work and then I am off to take the boys on vacation next week.  I hope the colds only last a few days and will let them enjoy themselves.

Friday Flips!

Ah, Friday, how I need you to come to an end so I can fall asleep on my couch tonight watching tv and sleep in in the morning.  I have had a pretty low key week so this one shouldn't be too long.  I have just been paying debt off (one student loan to go, woo hoo!) and trying to keep my eyes open and oh, yeah, working, and celebrating huge milestones at work, and stressing about the ones to come, and cooking, and cleaning, and laughing and correcting dirty little boys, throw bathing them in there too, and ok snuggling and kissing them as well.  Waylon gives the best hugs these days by the way.  Man, Dale sorry... and trying to be a good wife to my husband, which seems to be on the back burner with all of this tiredness lurking around.  Maybe I should take some days off next week just for him. 

Anyway, if you are new here Friday's mean it is time to flip some things off just to get them off of my chest and get a laugh at the things that made me mad during the week.  So, thanks to Kludymom (go visit her site) for creating this little bit of bad things turned good for the week. 

This week I exited my 1st trimester of pregnancy.  My body didn't get that memo as it decided now would be a good time for some morning sickness.  REALLY?!  Yeah, thanks for that.  Now I can't eat that specific cereal ever again and I had to switch around my whole morning routine to give me queasiness time to subside before I lose my breakfast again.  Thankfully it was only a 1 morning Tayarra vs the toilet bowl episode. 

To brushing my teeth in the morning which really gets my stomach going.  REALLY?!  I'm not just going to not brush my teeth in the mornings.  Thanks there gag reflex, you suck, or heave or something like that.

To this nasty thing



Oh, you so will not plant yourself in my garage leaving me to discover you at 5 in the morning and get away with it.  REALLY?!  Like I am REALLY going to let you hang out by the boy's toy box.  Come on!!!  I don't care what kind you are (Kingsnake, I think) you are not staying obviously and Dale hates you a lot more than I do.  How's your head feeling???  Thanks, babe for saving the day.  I was not going to work until I knew the end of that story!

And to eye teeth.  REALLY?!  Do all 4 of you need to come in all at once leaving my baby boy miserable and cranky.  And do you REALLY have to take forever to finish?  Get the job done already!

And this wouldn't be a Friday post if I didn't talk about traffic and my breakfast.  Sausage biscuit and a frappe saved the day again and I even saw some guy wave at another guy for letting him in.  It is a Friday morning traffic miracle around here two weeks in a row.  We will see what next Friday has in store as I am out of coupons for frappes.  Oh no!  Have a great weekend!!!

Friday Flip-offs...REALLY?!

It is Friday again, but I don't have to tell you all that even though I just did.  Anyway Friday here at the Sharp's means Flippin some things off, thanks to Kludymom, that happen during the week so I go into the weekend with a clean slate and ready to have fun.  You know like sitting on the couch or drinking Grandma Vada's sweet tea kind of fun.  (Note, I only sit on the couch to eat dinner and let me food settle)  Those of you judging me for eating dinner on the couch instead of at the table, well, flip off - It's a summer treat we do.  Once school starts (for Dale) we are at the table again.  Anyway...

On my way to work this morning I was thinking about my Friday flips and how flipping people off never really came natural to me.  So, I'm gonna change things up a bit (hope you don't mind Gigi).  Maybe the sausage biscuit and mocha frappe turned me into a more positive person.  I mean even traffic didn't suck today and someone actually waved at me for letting them in.  Waved, in rush hour traffic, come on - that's a big deal!  Maybe I have found a cure to my cranky driving and tired eyes on the drive in ... FOOD!  Now what can I do about the drive back home????  More food?  Right before dinner?  I am well on my way to 100 pounds with this pregnancy : )! 

But I do have some flip-offs or REALLY's to share with you!  Let the fun begin...

To the sweet lovely lady in the Mercedes SUV who sped up when I was trying to get over to make my exit.  Too kind of you!  And thank you so much for honking even though you were being the JERK!  I think you are mad because my poor old Tahoe was able to make it.  Ah!  REALLY?!

To my allergies that keep the skin in my nose moist and make for narrow passages while breathing.  Love you much!  Especially when I have to lead meetings with your moisturizer dripping down my face.  And adding to the already pregnant breathing.  I can't say two sentences without sounding like I just ran a mile already.  I'm over the moon about you!  REALLY?!

To my beautiful German Shepherd pup if you don't straighten up and stop chewing the paper and dragging every little thing out into the yard, nipping at me while trying to lick me,  not going into your crate when you are told to, jumping on the front door leaving splashes of mud everywhere, and knocking my babies over you are going to be joining MommaKiss' old man dog at "the farm"!  Get it!  REALLY?!

To helping a guy set up for a meeting yesterday where everything in the world went wrong.  Poor guy!  I think it bothered him a lot more than me.  Nothing like struggling to get things fixed and wasting 30 minutes of every one's time.  Got to love technology.  It's one thing when it is your error another when it has to do with all of the equipment.  At least we laughed about it and it probably made the meeting a lot more interesting, but REALLY?!  What the heck else could of happened besides the building burning down, which could have possibly happened when the power strip blew.  Good times!

Friday Flip-offs

If you are new here this is a list of things that got my panties (I hate the word panties) in a bunch this week. I don't let things get too me for too long. I get mad and I get over it. I have found myself making reminders to note "that" for Friday just so I can remember to post them!

To ticks - BLECH (gagging sound)  I hate you.  You are disgusting!!!!!  Pretty sure one of you was crawling on my arm in the middle of the night, but I was too out of it to really care so I brushed you off hopefully onto the floor, but who knows where the heck you are now.  Did I tell you you are disgusting - YOU ARE DISGUSTING!  Flip off big time.  Gross!  I will be washing everything and vacuuming the entire room tonight.  And STAY OFF OF MY KIDS attach to the dog where you are supposed to be.

To it being summer and me not having a tan.  Flip off!

To the bathroom that needs cleaned before our guests arrive.  You are gross too!  I don't want to clean you.  You will be dirty again 30 seconds later, but I will do it anyway.  Flip off!

To my house that looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in a year.  I swear I vacuumed you just last week, but with all of this in and out business you are not holding up well.  Flip off!

That's all I've got for you all.  Truth is, I have had a pretty good week!  And got all kinds of love and congrats on our recent news.  Thanks everyone, I truly appreciate it.  I will post all about it soon, promise!  AND we are so much closer to becoming debt free.  That's really going to help when we have to pay for 3 little ones in daycare.  Dale sold his truck last night, which was paid off, so we get to use that money to pay off a huge chunk of our debt!  Nothing beats that right now!  But, he has no vehicle to drive back and forth.  Guess we will be working on that soon.  Thankfully this is his last day of work at his summer job so if he needs to get around in the next few weeks he can easily find a way.  I'm rambling.  Shutting down now.  It's just so stinkin exciting to me though!

Friday Flip-Offs

To that lady driving in the passing lane holding up the works while she puts on her mascara behind the wheel.  Big huge flip off.  Next one I see doing it I am honking at.  I hope it scares the crap out of them and ruins their makeup job.  (I know traffic again!)

Hey spray tan that only lasts about 4 to 5 days, flip off.  You are too expensive to only last that long.  And for turning my clothes orange or rust, whatever color you want to call it, flip off!  I did enjoy you once you looked normal though!

I'm going to flip myself off again for not looking forward to the weekend that I should look forward to.  I am looking forward to the time with my boys, but all the go here do this ... flip off

To my husband who thinks he can not shave or cut his hair in the summers, flip off.  At least he trims up elsewhere.  But seriously, what sense does it make to have a burly face and head in the dead of summer?  Come on!!!

 Chigger bites, why in the world are you so good at finding the most inconvenient places to be completely annoying?  I have 2 of you right on my bra line under my boob and I completely look like I am playing with myself all day.  You drive me crazy.  Flip off!

To the torture that I have to put the Waylonator through to dig out multiple big deep splinters out of his chubby little piggies.  Flip off!  I seriously don't know how he gets so many.  The kid always has shoes on.

Friday Flip-Off's

Another Friday has arrived, which means it is time to get a good laugh out of the stresses from the week and move into the weekend carefree and ready for anything.  Thanks to Kludgymom for creating this little venue.  Go check out her page and see the others! 

I want to flip off  the rage and very judgemental feelings I often get from 2 things:

1. Traffic - I know, again, right!  But, I spend an hour each way every day going to and from work.  So, I get to experience a lot of this!  I think it is just going to have to be a constant thing.  These people bring the most vulgar thoughts and words to my head.  Thank goodness I don't say them out loud and quickly ask for forgiveness for even thinking them. 
2. There have been a couple of people in Blog Frog land lately that are trashing up the place with their comments and discussions they are starting.  They make me rage as well.  I am pretty sure they are doing it on purpose to turn things ugly.  I wish people would realize not responding to them would make them go away! 

So, flip off to both of these things for the feelings they cause within me and flip off to myself for allowing them to get me there.  Now I need to go start working on some apparent anger issues I have! 

I have yet to receive a negative comment (I apparently haven't arrived) but I know a lot who have.  What is it with some people?  It is one thing when you respectfully disagree with someone, but another when you totally knock them down as a person.  Get real people and work on your own issues.  Flip off!

And flip off to the constant need to have desert after every.single.meal!  It is bikini season here!

 But, to end on a positive note, it is Friday and that means the weekend is here.  That also means that I don't have to get up before the sun tomorrow or Sunday. 

The Fireworks tents are going up, which I love, but it is also a sign that the summer is in fact going by extremely too fast. 

And it is Father's Day weekend!  Happy Father's Day to all out there.  We don't have any plans.  We are just going to let Dale do what he does every weekend, whatever it is he wants to do.  And on Sunday we will go to church and spend the rest of the day with our dad's just like we do every Sunday.  So, I guess what I'm saying is I'm not too sure what makes Father's Day any different from every other day around here.  I mean I love Dale being a dad and I don't mean to put him down in any way, but he has the life around these parts.  If he doesn't want to cook, clean, put the kids to bed, or bath the kids he simply doesn't. 

But he is a  great dad and deserves to be celebrated with a card or something.  No, I'm kidding.  Maybe on Sunday I won't try to give him a guilt trip for doing whatever he wants to do while I am cooking, cleaning, bathing the kids and putting them to bed along with the million other things I will be doing.  (Way to make it about me!  I totally don't cook on the weekends and I rarely clean.  He actually does a lot around the house.)

I thought of the perfect picture to use for this post last night on my way home.  It gave me the giggles and I found myself bursting into laughter several times on my way home just thinking about it and how perfect it would be.  But, I can't bring myself to use it, ok, so Dale won't let me use it.  It is of him and he isn't a fan of having it posted on here for thousands (HA) to see.  So, I'm going to respect his wishes and not use it, but man it would have been great. 


On with the fun.

To the little attitude that comes along with the age of 4, flip off!  You know the attitude, Mr. I can do or say anything I want and talk back to you because I am 4!  Oh no you won't and things aren't going to be very pleasant until you get that little fact.

To this little emotion called jealousy, you have started to get the best of me and I'm not going to have it.  Who cares if most of my friends are able to spend their summers with their babies by the pool and doing fun things.  I'm going to be happy for them.  So flip off!

To the guy that thinks I have a sunglasses tan around my eyes, flip off!  I only wear my sunglasses in the car there Champ.  I guess white circles are better than dark circles.  You are an idiot and stop knocking the pictures of my boys over on my table with your butt.  It sends me into Momma Grizzly mode.  Flip off again because you deserve it.

Ah, that feels better but not as good as eating a sausage biscuit and receiving our bonus checks at work.  Woot Woot!!!!  Now who's jealous?  Oh, you're not?  Well, good you shouldn't be.  Happy Friday everyone and an even happier weekend!

To the allergies that have kicked my butt this week.  Thank you for the constant sniffing, faucet of a nose but stuffy at the same time, lost voice, sore throat, burning sinuses, eye watering, wheezing, tight chest, feeling of dying, hacking, phlegm choking, my butt to the couch sticking, body aching kind of reaction due to a little fun on the Polaris over the weekend.  Flip off, but I'm not letting you ruin my life.  I'm moving on with or without you.  Flip off.

To my high heel that got stuck in the cuff of my pant leg and almost flung me down who knows how many flights of stairs the other day.  Flip off.  Good thing the only muscles I have left in my arms helped catch me before I took the plunge. 

To the girl in the 20 year old escort with the flip phone, horrible shirt, and stringy hair that was dancing and singing so loudly in her car and taking her own picture and checking it out over and over again going down Broadway FLIP OFF for being so freakin stupid.  Pay attention to the road and get the hell out of my way. 

To whoever thinks it is a good idea to have football camp from 6 to 9 all week right after school ended and right when I thought I was getting my husband back, FLIP OFF.  (Just in case you ever read this Herb, just kidding you know I love you, but seriously, let me have my husband back until fall, mmm k!)

And to myself for once again skipping D-Day.  Sorry for the snub, babe.  You know I love you anyway.  Plus you really earned it this week for skipping camp on Wednesday and letting my fat arse sit on the couch all night and recover from this freakin allergy attack.  Flip off.

For the people that don’t have an ounce of common courtesy and won’t let you merge onto a highway for fear of losing their place in the never ending, slow moving line of traffic. I just need in the other lane people. Let me over for Pete’s sake! Waiving hand flip off.

For the guy who is letting his ego get in the way because he thinks he knows everything and can do it better.  Learn the hard way d-bag.  Flip Off.

To whatever I ate that has made my stomach gurgle for 2 days.  Flip Off.

To me for ever thinking it was a good idea to let Waylon have his binki past a year.  Flip Off.

To the seemingly never ending rain. I would really like to feel the sun on my skin again sometime soon.  Flip Off.

For it being the 21st of May and only having 9 days to get Wyatt’s birthday party planned.  Flip Off.

To going shopping this week and not finding one damn thing. NOT. ONE.  FLIP OFF!
