My Magical Moments

As many of you can relate one of the dreams for my boys is that they will grow up with an unbreakable bond.  That they will have each other's backs and love each other unconditionally.  I dream that they will be close and feel each other's hurt and celebrate each other's successes.

I know getting there is a process.  I know that sometimes they will hate each other's guts, punch each other in the face, and kick each other in the nuts.

But it's times like the above that I can sit back on the couch and catch a glimpse of my dream coming true without them knowing.  These are the magical moments for me.  When I am sure they are off destroying something and find them peacefully showing each other their tricks they made up on the swing set and supporting each other by telling them how cool or awesome it is.  When I hear them compromise on which activity to do first in the sweetest "we can do that after we do this, ok, bud" voice.  Those magical moments make my heart pump a little slower as if I am slowing down time and taking it all in even if it is a split second.  Those are magical, magical moments for me.

Shell over at Things I Can't Say started another awesome link up.  You can go check her out and read up on some other magical moments by clicking on the button below.  Thanks again, Shell!

  3. This is great. I love that your guys are going to be able to pal around together! I fear that my boys won't ever be that close while they're kids...that darned girl is in the middle of them. There's a lot of time in the 5 years that separate the boys and right now they don't have a thing in common.
