Project Smile - February

My life has been consumed with all things newborn in the month of February.  There have been many smile worthy moments that we have experienced. Everyone knows February is the month of love.  There has been plenty of that flowing around dulling the harder times.

Here's a few...
Locking eyes with a new life.
Being the total and complete source of a newborn baby's needs.
Seeing a first time smile.  How it lights up his face and puts a tear in my eye.
Feeling super soft brand new skin.
Smelling a freshly bathed babe.
Experiencing how much love a two year old and a four year old have to give to their new brother.
Introducing Weston to his grandpa for the first time.

Roses from my husband.
Some much needed reconnecting with the man that has been part of creating the beautiful life we share.
An awesome steak birthday dinner with my family.

Naps!
Naps while snuggling!

More snow than we know what to do with, which means A LOT of sledding for the boys and daddy!

The boys playing nicely with each other even if it is short lived.

The boys have been awesome with their brother kind of jerks to Dale and I though, so the other night while Dale was showering and Weston was napping we had fun with the camera.  We haven't laughed this hard together in awhile.  Wyatt was the master mind behind the photos.  They were some much needed and welcomed smiles.

Those mom moments that should make you go mad, but at first glance put a smile on your face.  Like two little boys that refuse to stay in bed.  So much so that one falls asleep on the hardwood floor in the hallway.

I don't know what is worse.  Refusal to stay in bed or destroying the room when they are in there. Notice the nice new color on the walls and blinds.  Not getting expensive blinds for their room ... one of the smartest decisions I have made!

Those are some of my February smiles.  Aching to smile more?  Go check out Alicia and the others here.

  3. Great reasons to smile. What a beautiful family.

Good thing you can make light of the new "artwork" in the littles bedrooms. Yikes.

  4. I know what you mean about the artwork! Gabe decided to rip off the border and wall paper all around his bed while he was "napping". The funny thing, is I didn't even get mad...Nothing a little paint can't clean up :)
