Well it's time to go some place where Tayarra's blog has never gone before.
It's giveaway time.
Grab your brothas, your sistas, your mothas, and anyone else who wants to win this motivating gift and check this out. I've never gone to a company before and asked to partner with them, but for this, I HAD to. A good college friend of mine, Amanda from Runninghood, liked a picture on Facebook of this ring that says, "BELIEVE". I absolutely loved it and I WILL have it someday. So, I checked out their website and wouldn't you know, I loved just about everything I saw including what the company stood for.
PERSEVERE, UNBREAKABLE, RELENTLESS, CONQUER, STRENGTH, FEARLESS, BELIEVE, FOCUS, TRANSCEND, WARRIOR
A company created out of some one's love and passion with running and life. "At Endorphin Warrior, our aim is to help you train, perform and live with greater strength of body and mind. We make products with positive and powerful messaging to wear while running, cycling, working out, sweating, racing - or all day long - to help you stay strong-minded and focused... and help you train harder, improve performance, achieve your goals, overcome challenges and live stronger."
Running isn't just running. Anyone who runs knows that truth. It's about connecting with yourself, your spiritual side, about pushing yourself to limits you never thought you could go. It includes emotion, pride, humility, sweat, and absolute exhaustion. It's the best diet and weight loss program you could be on. It has a part in the best life you can live. It can symbolize life better than any other example I can think of. Running is balance in so many ways.
RELENTLESS - never ceasing. Never giving up or giving in. Unyielding. This is the word I chose. I want to be reminded every time I look at my wrist not to give up. To keep going with the goals I set for myself. To keep the pace and keep the faith. Not only in running... in life.
I was so happy when this package came in the mail. I couldn't wait to get it on my wrist. Perfect fit! Made in the USA, even better. I wear it pretty much every day. I love it and my 3 year old told me it was one cool bracelet!
Now it is your turn to get one of these around your wrist or to give it as a gift. I'm not a fan of jump through this hoop then that one, but I am giving you 7 different chances to win, only 1 is mandatory.
Here's how to enter.

Thank you, Endorphin Warrior for your generosity!
I do not have one of these bracelets yet but my motto this week needs to be "BELIEVE!" I have my first Half Marathon of 2012 this weekend and I am starting to get nervous, anxious and doubt myself. I know I shouldn't. This bracelet would remind me for any race that I just need to Believe.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have liked 5 Sharp lives on FB.
ReplyDeleteSteps towards living my best life- Trusting in God and his promises. I OFTEN need reminded of this and through prayer and reading His word I know I am making steps in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteI would get Conquer and Warrior...I only walk due to my disability but those 2 words mean so much more to me than any one knows. I live those 2 words every day.
ReplyDeleteI kind of answered it in the above...doh...
ReplyDeleteI've had a lot of struggles in my life and I want to remember that despite those events, I've always conquered. I'm a Warrior.
I follow them on twitter (I'd follow them on facebook but they don't seem to have a page. I tried the link on their page and I tried a search but they're not listed.
ReplyDeleteI liked you on facebook...but I love you :)
ReplyDeleteI am always under construction :)
ReplyDeleteMy illnesses have taught me to slow down and to appreciate all the little things around me, to absorb my surroundings...to not take things for granted...and to hold my blessings really tight.
I work on myself every day and that is all I can do. And I'm ok with that.
Without question Persevere. Cute blog!
ReplyDeleteThis bracelet would be a reminder to persevere in all things at life. I run yes. But I'm also a mother for four children, one of which is disabled. Plus I work full time. I feel like I persevere all day every day. Some days more than others of course.
ReplyDeleteI already like Endorphin Warrior on FB.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing I can do to live my best life is to constantly remind myself to take one step at a time. Constantly moving forward somehow.
ReplyDeleteJust a sidenote because it made me chuckle. As I was scrolling down through your sidebar reading about your family. I got to Waylon and I laughed. I too have three boys, my four year olds name is Wyland and he often gets people who say, "Waylon?" no, WYland. haha. Just made me chuckle. I like W names too!
ReplyDeleteI would choose BELIEVE. I tend to doubt myself a lot. Looking down at that word daily will be a reminder that if I don't believe in myself, who will?
ReplyDeleteI too would choose Believe. Reminds of my faith in Jesus. I think of the pain he went thru for us so I keep trying my best to believe I myself. I would love this bracelet. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI would choose the UNBREAKABLE bracelet. I love to think of myself as unbreakable, no matter what is thrown my way!
ReplyDeleteI follow Endorphin Warrior on FB! FB name: Emily Kathleen
ReplyDeleteI would chose BELIEVE - because it is the closest to TRUST and that words really anchors me to BELIEVE in my training, BELIEVE in God's promises, BELIEVE in myself, BELIEVE I can. I would love this bracelet - Thanks!

The reason I chose focus is becasue I find myself very distracted as a wroking mother, and I find myself having to remember to only try to do one thing at a time, otherwise I do a half-a$$ job of everything!

ReplyDeleteI would choose Strenght! I feel like I am the strongest physically and mentally I've ever been. I've always been a workout junkie, but since the birth of my son, I've found an inner strenght towards working out. Not only am I loving my workouts, I've started subbing classes and teaching my girlfriends on the weekends. I think I've found my calling and love the feeling it gives me and how I make others feel about themselves. In regards to my mental strength, since becoming a stay-at-home mom, my strength get's tested a lot. :) I want to instill strong values and make sure my kids know that they are strong individuals and can do whatever they want in life. The sky is the limit to their dreams...and you need strength for that! :)

ReplyDeleteWebster defines "perseverance" as "a continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure or opposition." Perseverance defines me. In March 2012, I made a commitment and registered for my first ever 5k, solely to run with my girlfriends. I'm not a runner, nor have I ever been, but it was time for me to turn a corner. A very dark, depressing corner. It was time to get my health and life in check. Training for the race was amazing, but crossing that finish line was the best feeling I had EVER had! I had no idea what my body could accomplish! Especially after the years of abuse I'd put it through. Sadly, for more than half of my life I've battled eating disorders and carried all the shame with it. Let me tell you, it wears you out; spiritually, mentally and most of all, physically. . It's not been easy. I've lost friendships, relationships, experiences, precious time with family and days I can never get back. By God's grace, mercy and loving arm He's carrying me through this next chapter. Thus far, we've completed 4 5k's, 1 10k, and a 1/2 marathon together! And there's only more to come!
ReplyDeleteI still struggle daily, but thankfully, He's there guiding me right along as I continue to persevere.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.

ReplyDeleteJust being diagnosed with osteopenia, (onset of osteoporosis and a result of the damage I put on my body) I am committed more than ever to a consistent, healthy way of life! Working on PR now, I have a 5k in two weeks and another 1/2 marathon in March at the Nation's Capitol. My spiritual journey continues and strengthens every moment and in every breath I take with the Lord's loving arms around me.
ReplyDeleteI would choose "Breathe"
ReplyDeleteAfter 3 years of ITB syndrome and retraining myself to run, most people would have quit. I found that when I am struggling, I just need to remind myself to breathe and I can reset most of what is troubling me. Sometimes, the easy thing is the best thing.
