Perfection

I rushed home from work, made a bunch of PB&J, bagged up some Doritos, filled the damn Sonic cups with water, threw in a blanket, and rushed the boys to the car.

This was our destination.

This was my view.

These are the moments in my life as a mom I live for.

Jelly faces.

Silly smiles.

Peacefully playing together.

My three boys, whom I've dreamed of raising.  They are right here with me right now making my dream come true and showing me what matters in life.  A quiet simple squat at a state park with no one else around.  We were free to be ourselves and love each other in the simplest way.  We didn't need toys, or music, or balls, or playground equipment.  Just each other (and some pb&j)!  Picnic day was an unanimous HIT!  They are still talking about it, BOTH of them!  They loved it!

Top it all off, a perfect sunset.  This is what my dream of being a mommy looked like.  Not the stress, not the rush, just simple moments like this.

  1. You are so right!
Perfect life doesn't come from winning the lottery, wearing designer clothes or going away once a year on an exotic holiday.
It is the everyday simple pleasures that make our memories.
Well done for making the best of a beautiful day.
