What a weekend

I just finished my horrible lunch and thinking about what a great weekend I had and wishing for a lot more of them.

The good:
  1. Getting the patio furniture arranged.
  2. Getting to lay out while Waylon took a nap and Wyatt played in the dirt with his trucks.
  3. Falling asleep on the couch.
  4. Dale coming home.
  5. Getting a back rub (that lasted for 1 minute) from Wyatt (because he thought my tummy hurt)
  6. Being missed by my husband as he was away.
  7. Taking a walk through the woods with Wyatt and throwing rocks in the lake.
  8. Taking it easy on Sunday afternoon.
  9. Taking a ride on the Polaris at my parent's while the boys took turns driving.  I think this has got to be the most peaceful and enjoyable thing we do.  I absolutely love it.  Just wish Dale was with us!
  10. Wyatt really getting the hang of his bike (minus turning around).  I will post pictures and maybe a video later.
  11. THE WEATHER
  12. Having Sunday not feel like a Sunday.  I shoved the dreaded feeling of work the next day off the deck.
  13. Realizing that Wyatt's birthday party is this coming weekend and we have done VERY LITTLE PLANNING and I'm not really worried about it.
  14. Having a competition with Wyatt to see how many very's we can say when we say I very love you.
  15. Witnessing some more brotherly love.
  16. Hearing the bull frogs from the lake and the fireflies in the field.  Hello summer!  I very missed you.
The not so good:
  1. Getting very little sun while laying out.
  2. Getting the stupid kite tangled Wyatt wanted so desperately to fly.
  3. Trying to take the dog with us on our walk.  We made it to the end of the driveway and had to drag her back.  Apparently I have to train her to be on a leash.  She does NOT like it.
  4. Seeing a huge snake about 5 steps from my boys - not cool - I would have murdered you if I had the guts to.
  5. Staying up late to try to figure out what the hell just happened on Lost.  I still don't have it all worked out.  Anyone want to clue me in... that would be great!
  6. Realizing that Wyatt's birthday party is this coming weekend and we have done VERY LITTLE PLANNING and I'm not really worried about it.
I hope you all had a great weekend as well!

    Party Planning 101:
    Kids outside playing
    Store bought cake
Plastic plates and forks so no dishes
Two hour limit so you don't go insane

You can send me the thank you note after you send all Wyatt's out. <:op

  2. Sounds like a good weekend over all. The snake and LOST not so much. Btw, I HATE LOST. I was LOST several seasons ago and gave up.

  3. Looks like you've had a great week. That part about the snake scares me to death. It's one of my biggest fears about living out in the woods.
Thanks so much for stopping by my place again. Have a great day.

  4. Glad you had a great weekend, much the same for myself, including the birthday comment! We have a birthday and vacation coming up, but I haven't planned a whole lot! What is wrong with me?
