Kuhnhoff Family Vacation

I spent my childhood traveling these hills up and down 65.  They have changed so much.  It used to be a much longer drive with a lot more rocky bluffs and cheesy billboards and a lot less highway.  You knew how close you were getting to Branson even when you were too young to realize time and distance just by seeing the increasing number of billboards.  I love going back this way and I plan to make this trip an annual event for my kids as well.

You know how hard it is to pick your favorite vacation pictures?  I'll try to keep the words to a minimum.

Dominated and was given several dirty looks!

Where melt down #1 began due to lack of food and being over tired.

They had the fast kart!

SLEEP - in the restaurant as soon as his belly was full

He's on his way out.

Him too - blank stare!

1st one down and kept the thing going all day long!

He didn't care much for the life jackets so he didn't spend much time in the lake.

He just pooped himself sans swim diaper - freshly washed in the lake

Me - yes, I plugged my nose!

LOVE this picture

And this one!

Asleep at the end of the day - just like last year!

There was one major melt down on the boat, but we all got over it and went on with having a good time.

The whole crew!

The worst part!

Driving home again

I noticed that Dad and Waylon and Weston were the only ones not to take the plunge down the slide - Next year, boys!

There were tears, and whining, and laughing, and attitudes, and food, and hugs, and angry words, and loving words, and smiles, and love.   All the things that make a family a family to the core.
Thanks, Mom and Dad for the awesome time and making it happen for all of us!

  1. Looks like you guys had so much fun!!! Who needs Hawaii, right? ;)

  2. How fun!!!
I especially love the sleeping in the restaurant. Don't you wish you could do that too?!
